THE GREEN LIZARD

N LIZARD

Wayne led an unstable existence between the chic routine of his architect profession and his suppressed ambitions. Giving up everything he moved to Miami with its palm trees and marinas and buys a yacht recently found abandoned in the Atlantic. No one was discovered on board except a cat.

Wayne should have been suspicious. One day while looking for the tom cat in the passageways, he stumbles upon potential dynamite: two black notebooks encased in plastic. The first contains the ship’s detailed log of a cruise taken by the previous yacht’s owner, a Romanian modern painter and former informer to the Ceausescu police.  This very special diary describes two drownings, the locations of four sacs containing fifty million of laundered dollars and a mini submarine which once belonged to the Columbian cartel. The second notebook is even more fascinating. It is the intimate diary of Shylock, a killer who had camped on the yacht never hesitating to cut up his victims with honed blades or to tear out their eyes.

Which one of the guests of the cruise was Shylock? And what if he suddenly appeared, one moonlit night right next to Wayne?
